Now is the winter of my discontent
This is the year when “polar vortex” entered into my vocabulary. I never asked for it. But it came anyway.
Is anyone else feeling as cold as I am? Brrrrrrrrrr…it seems frigid most of the time this winter. This is one of the worst ones in my memory…and I’m in the deep South! How do my friends up North handle this, year after year after year??!
As I contemplate the deep chill, I long…simply long for –
– a hot, summer day
– high humidity and sweat (I could always sign up for Hot Yoga, I guess)
– or a warm, dry desert breeze and parched throat. Yes, even that.
Who knew?
Please, I don’t need my friends and family in California, especially in SoCal to pipe in now, just to gloat! That’s really not a very nice thing to do.
In a timely fashion, just a little more than a week from now, I get to escape this winter for one in the tropics, as I return for a brief sojourn in my favorite, smelly city. 🙂 They’re experiencing winter too – 80 degrees, my friends! Now, that’s my kind of cold weather.

may you stay warm and safe!
in California
all supplies of water are drying up.
Thank you!
How come all my contacts in Cali only talk about their perfection? 😉
perhaps they
can offer you
more insight
than I 🙂
No insight, only gloating. 😉
